Today it was the Poker Run!! While the guests were enjoying dives on Sunset Reef, the Total Sub staff prepared for the annual Poker Run, now a Total Sub classic. This is a game where divers are given compass coordinates for underwater locations on the reef where a staff member is positioned and hands out a single playing card to each diver who finds their station. Divers collect 4 cards from the 4 underwater stations and then gets a fifth card from a station on the dock. The winning hand gets a prize, which was an very nice regulator from Scubapro. Now Theresa is stationed at the Mermaid, and every year the guests try to ‘impress’ Theresa with their special ‘gifts’ or antics. This year, a group of 3 male divers decided to don a woman’s thong and ‘impress’ Theresa. What they failed to do was look in the mirror before heading out on their quest or they would have seen that 1) they didn’t have the physique for this stunt and 2)…they REALLY didn’t have the physique for this. Theresa, along with eveyone who witnessed this (including me), will be in therapy for the next 12 months!

Also today was a new event for Total Sub, a trip to Rum Point for a beach party/dinner with entertainment by Caymans own troubador, Barefoot Man.We arrived around 5pm and caught the boat back to the hotel at 10. Most were still standing….

It was great fun and truly a diver’s party. Another great idea, Theresa and Keith!!!
